Sunday Canal Walk

Every Sunday Meet 12pm
Walking for Good Health
Meet near to Waitrose car park at midday. Start time for the walk is 12.30pm FREE For more information CLICK HERE

A slow walk, time to reflect, listen and discuss, or to simply stroll along the canal in companionable silences. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

There are 4 routes which end at the same point next to the Waitrose starting point. This makes sure that anyone who is struggling for any reason (or who simply doesn’t want to do one of the longer walks) always has an “opt-out” route.

The first walk is approximately 1000 steps, the next 2 variations are approximately 2000 and 4000 steps and the last is approximately 6000 steps.

There’s even a quick shortcut route if you’d prefer to head straight to the canal side Upper Lock Cafe.
