LAPTOPS FOR SCHOOLS
FROM THE STROUD AND STONEHOUSE CANAL COMMUNITY
Do you have an unwanted laptop
sitting in a cupboard or under your desk?
If you do, you can assist local schools to help their students cope with the current school closure and home schooling.
This scheme is being led by Lois Francis and Val Kirby. Both of are Trustees of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation, members of the Cotswold Canals Trust and supporters of Cotswold Canals Connected, the project to complete the restoration of the Stroudwater Navigation.
Together they will arrange for the collection and delivery of donated computers.
Dave Kruse at Stroud’s Webworks has kindly offered to check each donated computer, and both Stroud and Stonehouse Town Councils have offered space in their offices to store machines that are ready for distribution.
We will follow up any donations with the offer of educational material about our local canals, their history and their restoration.
