Her Majesty The Queen: a statement on behalf of Cotswold Canals Connected partners

On behalf of all of our partners, volunteers and supporters at Cotswold Canals Connected we send our deepest sympathies on the sad passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

We were honoured that we were able to name the new railway bridge over the Stroudwater Canal as the Ocean Jubilee Bridge as our mark of respect and to provide a lasting legacy for the future.

There will be no volunteers working today along the canal, or on the archaeology dig at Hydes Basin. However, the Heritage Day will continue as planned on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th.

The thoughts and prayers of all associated with the canal project remain with the Royal Family at this time.
